DALLAS, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 10/07/08 -- NewMarket Technology, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NMKT) today announced NewMarket's Brazilian subsidiary UniOne has signed a contract and begun implementation of an Oracle Hyperion Financial Management project for leading Latin American private equity group GP investments. Since 1993, GP has built up a successful track record in the Brazilian private equity market, having invested more than US$4 billion in 47 companies in Brazil as of May 2008. Oracle Hyperion Financial Management is a comprehensive, Web-based application that delivers global financial consolidation, reporting and analysis in a single, highly scalable software solution.

NewMarket's operations in Latin America are leading Microsoft and Oracle partners in the region and have seen substantial growth from these partnerships over the past year. For the first half of 2008, NewMarket's Latin American operations have accounted for approximately $12.6 million in revenue YTD with $528,600 in net income, supporting the Company's global goal of $120 million in profitable revenue for 2008. In 2007, NewMarket reported $93.1 million in revenue with $7.3 million in net income across all its operations.
