DataDirect Partners with immixGroup on JDBC, ODBC, .NET Products
Government Agency First Customer for Data Access Components Program

DataDirect Technologies, an operating company of Progress Software Corporation, has announced a partnership with immixGroup, Inc., a government business consulting and channel management company. This agreement makes immixGroup the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule holder for DataDirect Technologies and simplifies access for federal government customers to DataDirect’s industry-leading data connectivity solutions.

“As more government agencies leverage IT systems to streamline their operations, data connectivity is becoming more and more important,” said Eric Egertson (pictured), vice president of North American sales at DataDirect Technologies. “We’ve done business with government agencies for years, but this new partnership will make the buying process easier than ever for our customers.”

The first public sector customer to benefit from DataDirect Technologies’ first-class data connectivity components is a large, public health federal government agency, which licensed DataDirect Connect for ODBC agency-wide to be used with a key reporting and analysis application.

“Our partnership with DataDirect Technologies will benefit all federal government customers seeking the best in data connectivity solutions,” said Art Richer, senior vice president of immixGroup, Inc. and president of immixTechnology. “This partnership simplifies the procurement process and increases choice for public-sector customers who want to use DataDirect Technologies’ connectivity solutions.”

The most comprehensive provider of data connectivity components in the market today, DataDirect Technologies offers standards-based components for every major database, operating system and data access standard. Government customers will benefit from production proven database drivers, which deliver the reliability, security, and performance needed for the most demanding software systems. The technology is backed by award-winning technical support and the industry’s most comprehensive test suite.

Under the terms of the agreement, immixGroup will facilitate and manage the sales and procurement processes for DataDirect Technologies products, including DataDirect Connect for JDBC, DataDirect Connect for ODBC and DataDirect Connect for .NET via immixGroup’s GSA Schedule. The agreement also entails training, recruiting and business development services provided by immixGroup.
