Visiprise, Inc., a leader in integrated manufacturing operations solutions, has announced an agreement to implement the Visiprise Shop Floor Scheduler in MetalTek International's two largest facilities.
Visiprise Shop Floor Scheduler is a manufacturing scheduling solution that tightly integrates both scheduling and execution. The platform-independent, Java J2EE solution integrates with Visiprise Manufacturing and Visiprise Shop Floor Management as well as legacy systems for a complete real-time execution scheduling solution.
"MetalTek was looking to improve its legacy scheduling solution," said Robert Consoli, vice president of worldwide sales for Visiprise. "The company needed a product that could enhance its shop floor functionality and that spanned across all its business units. In Visiprise Shop Floor Scheduler they found the comprehensive and flexible solution that they desired."
MetalTek produces heat wear and corrosion-resistant parts for various industries including petrochemical, turbine engine and defense. The Visiprise solution will start implementation in the Pevely, Missouri and Waukesha, Wisconsin facilities in August.
"We wanted a flexible, high-quality solution that could improve our manufacturing production and be rapidly deployed into our current facilities," said E.J. Kubick, vice president of manufacturing for MetalTek. "Visiprise Shop Floor Scheduler met all those requirements and will help our company fulfill our commitment to our customers and their needs."
Visiprise is the first company to offer a single solution that combines manufacturing execution with real-time scheduling for complex discrete markets.
