BEZ Systems Advances Platform for Predicting and Managing Change in IT Service Delivery

Digg This!

BEZ Systems, the leading provider of Proactive Performance Management (PPM) solutions, today announced immediate availability of BEZVision™ 3.0. BEZVision is a unique, next generation software solution specifically designed to help IT groups manage change and complexity while ensuring uninterrupted application service delivery to the business.

BEZVision protects an organizations current investment in performance tools while adding significant value through an automated prediction engine with additional “what-if” capabilities. BEZVision processes available infrastructure performance data to fashion and drive IT service delivery predictions and decisions. BEZVision automatically correlates performance data from industry leading performance management solutions into cross-tier, business-oriented workloads that reflect application activity. Once workload models are built, powerful “what-if” capabilities allow users to understand how iterative changes will affect application and database service. These powerful innovations allow IT managers to move their organization from reactive response to proactive management; giving IT the time and information necessary to make better decisions and insulate service delivery from the chaotic effects of constant change and complexity.

“As the task of monitoring and tuning application infrastructure has evolved, [CA Wily] Introscope has emerged as the market leader in web application performance management solutions. We share their commitment to ensuring consistently superior application performance” said Dan Haley, CEO and President of BEZ Systems. “BEZVision complements Introscope by adding a forward-looking, predictive component.”

“CA Wily is committed to helping customers manage the performance and availability of complex application environments” said Jeff Cobb, SVP of Product Strategy at CA’s Wily Technology Division. “The BEZVision integration with Introscope and added correlation with the database tier helps customers manage change today and also plan for the future.”

According to Ray Paquet, Gartner Managing Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations “Increasingly, Gartner believes that the analysis and correlation of performance related data from multiple sources is critical for IT organizations to move from simply reacting to problems to becoming proactive and beyond to being predictive. Only with deep correlation can IT move to proactive capabilities. And only with broad analytics can IT move to becoming truly predictable.”

BEZ software is built using SOA architecture and can process data from multiple existing performance data gathering agents and repositories. BEZ’s newest component, BEZVision, utilizes Java performance data from CA Wily Introscope. This allows it to predict service performance at the Java application tier and also provide detailed cross-tier analysis between the database and application layers to understand how changes in one tier will affect other application components. Additional data sources currently supported include: BEZ agentless collectors, Oracle 10g Grid Control Repository and Symantec i3 Performance Repository.

About BEZ Systems

Since 1993, BEZ Systems has been offering innovative Proactive Performance Management (PPM) solutions that provide a line-of-business view of future application service delivery. These solutions allow IT managers to accurately profile application performance, compare ‘change and growth’ alternatives, and forecast future requirements. Future performance predictions are an invaluable component of verifying that business objectives and performance goals can be met, thereby minimizing any shortfalls in service.
