CHICAGO and SAN FRANCISCO, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- MediaBank, a leading provider of advanced analytics, media buying and workflow solutions to advertisers and agencies, today announced that Ben Galbraith, recently appointed chief information officer, will speak at the world's largest development conference, JavaOne.

In his fifth consecutive invitation to present at the conference, Galbraith will lead three sessions that highlight various aspects of advanced Java applications. In a discussion titled "Extreme GUI Makeover," Galbraith will present his most recent work at MediaBank, where he has helped with the creation of an innovative and cutting edge Java platform. Galbraith's work allows MediaBank's solution suite to run on multiple platforms with several desktop applications and unique dashboards for a radically improved user experience.

"Since joining MediaBank, Ben has played a huge role in promoting flexibility, interoperability and transparency in our technology," said Brad Keywell, founder of MediaBank. "MediaBank's advanced Java-based platform, strongly influenced by Ben's talent and vision, ensures MediaBank's solutions will evolve with the needs of advertisers. MediaBank's technology innovations are unprecedented in the media buying and advertising industry."

Galbraith is a well-recognized software developer, accomplished speaker and author of several Java-related books. In 2006 he was rated the top speaker at JavaOne and is the conference's most-awarded speaker. He is also considered a pioneer in the Ajax movement, co-founding Ajaxian.com, the premier online community for the world's top web developers. Galbraith most recently served as CEO of a software consulting firm, Feature50, which merged with MediaBank in 2007.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of MediaBank, we share a passion for creating compelling software and together we're revolutionizing how the advertising industry does business," says Galbraith. "At JavaOne, I'll be sharing some of the practices behind our ability to build beautiful, flexible systems that rapidly respond to change."

Galbraith will lead three sessions, titled "Creating a Compelling User Experience," "What's New in Ajax" and "Extreme GUI Makeover" at the JavaOne Conference, held May 6-9, 2008 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
